It will focus on three objectives; interpreting Schopenhauer\u2019s worldview as a psychological theory, outlining the value of Schopenhauer\u2019s pessimistic philosophy, and exploring the behavioural and ethical implications of adopting this view. Very little has been done in the field of psychology toward implementing Schopenhauer's theories, and this research intends to demonstrate the value of these works to psychology. Schopenhauer's philosophy lends itself to a comprehensive theory in human psychology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Patric Plesa is a 2nd year Masters student enrolled in the History &amp; Theory of Psychology program at York University. His research interests include: Theoretical psychology, mainly in translating works of philosophy for psychology.
