Kashmala has been a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Islamic Online University, has conducted community-based workshops, including podcasts, interviews, and career panels on topics related to mental health in the Muslim community for the past 7 years. Kashmala has also received Level 1 Pastoral Counselling training from the University of Toronto. She is currently pursuing a PhD at York University in Psychology, and is a Researcher and Educator with the Khalil Center.
