Epistemic justice as a tool for liberation: The radical possibilities and limits of public science, critical psychology and participatory action research
In this talk I will offer "tapas" of critical psychology, current enactments and reflections on challenges of engaging public science in times of what Massey and Hall would call "conjunctural crisis" when, in the language of Gramsci, "the old is dying, the new cannot be born" and we are drowning in "morbid symptoms." We will discuss historically and today... how have critical psychologists engaged theory, research, praxis and policy toward critique and the radical re-imagination of how things might be otherwise (Greene; Chuh; Roy).
